Routine Antenatal Checkup

Antenatal tests are an important part of your pregnancy care and help make sure that you and your baby are healthy throughout your pregnancy. Different types of tests, including blood tests, urine tests and ultrasound scans are used to check different aspects of your own and your baby's health.

High Risk Pregnancy

Risk factors for a high-risk pregnancy can include: Existing health conditions, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or being HIV-positive. Overweight and obesity. Obesity increases the risk for high blood pressure, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, stillbirth, neural tube defects, and cesarean delivery.

Vaginal Delivery

A vaginal delivery is when a person gives birth through their vagina. Vaginal deliveries are the most common and most preferred method of delivery. This is because they are typically low-risk and carry the most benefits to the birthing person and baby.

Caesarean Section

Cesarean section, C-section, or Cesarean birth is the surgical delivery of a baby through a cut (incision) made in the mother's abdomen and uterus. Health care providers use it when they believe it is safer for the mother, the baby, or both.

Urogynaecology is a sub-specialty which integrates the complex and intricate specialities of Urology and Gynaecology, focusing on urinary problems and pelvic floor disorders in women. These problems arise due to the close anatomy of the urinary bladder and urethra with the uterus and vagina. Hence, these issues in women will have to be dealt with keeping in mind the effect of the urinary and reproductive systems on each other in order to ensure complete relief of symptoms.

Abdominal Hysterectomy

In an abdominal hysterectomy, the doctor removes the uterus. Through making and incision at lower abdomen. If it is a "total hysterectomy," the doctor also removes the cervix.

Vaginal Hysterectomy

Vaginal hysterectomy involves a shorter time in the hospital, lower cost and faster recovery than an abdominal hysterectomy, which is done through vaginal introitus.

Infertility Treatment

Infertility is a condition where you cannot get pregnant after one year of trying to conceive. In women, cause of infertility can include endometriosis, uterine fibroids and thyroid disease. Men with fertility problems may have a low sperm count or low testosterone. The risk of infertility increases as you age.
